No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Benfica (5-5) beat 10th ranked Vitoria SC (3-7) in Lisbona 63-54 on Sunday. They outrebounded Vitoria SC 33-22 including 25 on the defensive glass. American power forward Quanetria Bolton (188-95, college: Alabama) notched 21 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and international guard Filipa Bernardeco (173-92) supported her with 17 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Even 20 points and 6 rebounds (made all of her ten free throws !!!) by American forward Leah Somerfield (185-95, college: Oakland) did not help to save the game for Vitoria SC. Her fellow American import guard Sara Dickey (180-95, college: Evansville) added 15 points for lost side. Benfica maintains seventh position with 5-5 record. Loser Vitoria SC dropped to the ninth place with seven games lost. They share the position with CAB Madeira.
