Not a big story in a game in Hamburg where 14th ranked ETV (3-10) was defeated by eleventh ranked Vechta-2 (5-6) 89-79 on Sunday. Vechta-2 made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. ETV was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Luc Van-Slooten (203-2) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 4 steals and Tim Insinger (205-97) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Vechta-2 players scored in double figures. Vechta-2's coach Hanno Stein used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian guard Vidmantas Uzkuraitis (189-85) with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and American guard Tyseem Lyles (188, college: Mercy) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Vechta-2 have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place in North, which they share with Aschersleben. ETV lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Vechta-2 will face higher ranked Westerstede (#9) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
