Regular Season Round 10: B.Loewen - Krofdorf 82-66

No shocking result in a game when second ranked B.Loewen (9-1) defeated at home 9th ranked Krofdorf (3-7) 82-66 on Sunday. B.Loewen dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Krofdorf's 34. They outrebounded Krofdorf 48-24 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. French-Moroccan guard Majda Ghariani (174-86) fired 31 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American Marquisha Harris (180-93, college: W.Michigan) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds. Harris is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. B.Loewen's coach J.D. Barnes used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Leslie Robinson (183, college: Princeton, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and her fellow American import forward Chelsea Small (184, college: Indiana St.) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. B.Loewen have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position in North with 9-1 record having just one point less than leader Osnabrueck SC. Loser Krofdorf keeps the ninth place with seven games lost. B.Loewen will face ALBA Berlin (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Krofdorf will play against SG BBZ Opladen in Leverkusen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
