There was no surprise in Braunschweig where 8th ranked Junior Loewen (2-5) was defeated by fourth ranked Sixers (4-4) 71-61 on Sunday. Sixers forced 22 Junior Loewen turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Sven Papenfuss (200-0) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and Jannik Luster (193-0) who added 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Center Mark Mboya-Kotieno (206-0) responded with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and center Jannik Goettsche (207-0) scored 7 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sixers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position in Group 3 with 4-4 record. Junior Loewen lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with five games lost. Sixers will face league's second-placed Heroes in Bayreuth in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Junior Loewen will play on the road against the league's leader Junior Loewen (#1) in Breitenguessbach and hope to win that game.
