Regular Season Round 11: Loewen - Wuerzburg 91-81

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Erfurt where eighth ranked Loewen (4-6) beat 7th ranked Wuerzburg (5-5) 91-81 on Sunday. Wuerzburg was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard David Taylor (190-95, college: Pacific) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 assists. Center Tobias Bode (206-92) helped adding 17 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Dexter Sienko (198-96, college: Regis Univ.) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and Fynn Fischer (208-99) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Loewen and four Wuerzburg players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Loewen have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Loewen maintains eighth place in South with 4-6 record. Loser Wuerzburg keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Loewen will face league's second-placed BV Villingen-Schwenningen at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
