Regular Season Round 10: Tofas - Afyon 95-64

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Afyon (0-9) was smashed on the road by third ranked Tofas (7-2) 95-64 on Sunday. Tofas dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Afyon's 38. They outrebounded Afyon 55-35 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tofas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Quite impressive performance for forward Berkan Aksu (203-1) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Omer Yavas (203-1) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. Semih Bayezit (-1) replied with 29 points and 6 rebounds and Metin Bayhan (-1) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Afyon. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tofas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-2 record having just two points less than leader Pinar Karsiyaka. Loser Afyon still closes the standings with nine games lost. Tofas will have a break next round. Afyon will play at home against the league's leader Anadolu Efes (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
