Regular Season Round 10: Turk Telekom - Fenerbahce 73-81

An interesting game for Fenerbahce (8-1) which played road game in against 4th ranked Turk Telekom (4-5). Second ranked Fenerbahce managed to get a 8-point victory 81-73. Fenerbahce dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Turk Telekom's 32. Fenerbahce forced 23 Turk Telekom turnovers and outrebounded them 42-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for forward Ismail Karabilen (206-1) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Ekrem Sancakli (194-1) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. Zahid Isaoglu (-0) replied with 21 points and Burak Gozeneli (-0) added 21 points and 5 steals in the effort for Turk Telekom. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenerbahce maintains second position with 8-1 record behind leader Pinar Karsiyaka. Loser Turk Telekom dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Fenerbahce will face Ozel Gelisim Koleji (#4) in the next round. Turk Telekom will play against Tarsus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
