Regular Season Round 15: KDPU - Prometey 71-73

Second-ranked KDPU (8-4) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Prometey (13-1) in Kryvyi Rih on Sunday. The visitors from Kamianske managed to secure only two-point victory 73-71. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 17-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Prometey looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by KDPU helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for power forward Andriy Kulish (204-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. American point guard Supreme Hannah (181-94, college: Daemen) contributed with 12 points and 7 assists for the winners. Point guard Sergey Startsev (190-97) answered with 15 points, 8 assists and 4 steals and guard Vladyslav Unhuryan (190-95) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for KDPU. KDPU's coach Sergei Korablov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Prometey have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Newly promoted Prometey maintains first place with 13-1 record. KDPU at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Mariupol. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
