Bandirma Kir. has finally registered their first victory this season after seven consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Selcuklu (5-3) 78-70. The winners were led by Canadian guard Devoe Joseph (193-90, college: Oregon, agency: Interperformances) who scored that evening 22 points and 9 assists and American forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) supported him with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Four Bandirma Kir. players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks by American forward Calvin Godfrey (206-90, college: Memphis) did not help to save the game for Selcuklu. His fellow American import guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado) added 9 points and 11 assists for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bandirma Kir. maintains sixteenth position with 1-7 record. Selcuklu at the other side keeps the fifth place with three games lost. Bandirma Kir. will play against higher ranked Socar Petkim (#11) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Selcuklu will play against Manisa (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
