No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Oradea (4-3) smashed on the road 7th ranked Timisoara (2-4) 99-76 on Monday. The game without a history. Oradea led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Oradea looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American guard Kris Richard (196-89, college: Tulane) fired 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The other American import swingman Marcus Ginyard (195-87, college: N.Carolina, agency: HMS) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Richard is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. American guard Brandon Randolph (188-95, college: Utah Valley) produced 13 points and 4 assists and Serbian Nikola Pesakovic (193-91, agency: 011 Sports) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 4-3 record. Loser Timisoara dropped to the third place with four games lost. Oradea will face Steaua B. (#5) in Bucuresti in the next round. Timisoara will play on the road against Cluj Napoca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
