Regular Season Round 10: Domzale - Grosbasket 49-57

Bottom-ranked Domzale (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 57-49 loss to seventh ranked Grosbasket (2-8) in Domzale. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Domzale won fourth quarter 14-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grosbasket held Domzale to an opponent 22.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 30.9 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Domzale 54-39 including a 40-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mojca Ahac (177-0) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Tinkara Zorana (171-99) supported her with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Even 22 points and 9 rebounds by forward Vanja Tajher (178-95) did not help to save the game for Domzale. Forward Jasmina Hatic (176-89) added 9 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Domzale's coach Mladen Rajic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Grosbasket maintains seventh position with 2-8 record. Domzale at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Grosbasket's next round opponent will be higher ranked Maribor (#5) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Domzale will play against the league's second-placed Triglav having rather not much hope for a victory.
