Regular Season Round 19: Perlas - Ereliai Mazeikiai 88-83

Very predictable result in Vilnius where sixth ranked Perlas (10-8) defeated 12th ranked Ereliai Mazeikiai (6-11) 88-83 on Friday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a great evening for power forward Einaras Tubutis (207-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Domantas Vilys (188-0) helped adding 21 points. Four Perlas players scored in double figures. Perlas' coach Arvydas Gronskis let to play all 12 players in such tough game. At the losing side Ignas Fiodorovas (196-96) responded with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Haroldas Saprykinas (187-95, college: Cal-Irvine) scored 18 points. Perlas maintains sixth place with 10-8 record. Loser Ereliai Mazeikiai dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Perlas will face Taurages (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Ereliai Mazeikiai will play against KTU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
