Regular Season Round 19: Ezerunas - Zalgiris II 77-76

A very interesting game took place in Moletai. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Zalgiris II (8-10) to thirteenth ranked Ezerunas (7-11) 77-76 on Friday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Edvinas Lebeckas (199-98) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Forward Arnas Berucka (196-97, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Point guard Marius Valinskas (187-99) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Lukas Uleckas (199-99) added 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Zalgiris II. Zalgiris II's coach Tomas Kersis tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Ezerunas. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Taurages. Zalgiris II at the other side keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Ezerunas' next round opponent will be higher ranked Vytis (#4) in Sakiai and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
