Everything could happen in Ankara at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Nesibe and 13th ranked Mersin Uni had identical 3-7 record. This time Nesibe used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Mersin 68-52 on Friday night. Nesibe dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Mersin Uni's 30. It was a great evening for American guard Cayla McMorris (183-96, college: Wisconsin) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Melis Lafatan (188-91) helped adding 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Shakeya Leary (189-90, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Cisem Incel (172-94) scored 9 points. Mersin Uni's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Nesibe maintains tenth place with 4-7 record. Mersin Uni lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Edremit and Mersin Gelisim. Nesibe will meet Yalova Vip (#15) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Mersin Uni will play against Mardin BSB (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
