Regular Season Round 19: Gargzdu - Suduva-Mantinga 65-69

NKL top team - Suduva-Mantinga (14-4) added another victory to their record on Friday. This time they beat eighth ranked Gargzdu (8-9) in Gargzdai 69-65. The former international Aurimas Kieza (199-82, college: Hofstra) fired 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Zygimantas Simonis (192-95) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. Suduva-Mantinga's coach Rytis Vaisvila used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-85, college: Virginia) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Simonas Serapinas (197-82) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Suduva-Mantinga. They maintain first place with 14-4 record. Newly promoted Gargzdu dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. Suduva-Mantinga will meet at home league's second-placed Delikatesas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gargzdu will play against Silute (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
