Undefeated leader Cankaya delivered the eleventh consecutive win on Friday night. This time they crushed 14th ranked Istanbul U.G (2-9) 70-39. Cankaya held Istanbul U.G to an opponent 24.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.5 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Istanbul U.G 54-32 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Nilay Aydogan (180-92, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. American center Sasha Goodlett (195-90, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Derin Erdogan (168-2) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Hatice Sugranur (183-1) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cankaya (11-0) have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 11 victories in a row. Istanbul U.G lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Yalova Vip. Cankaya are looking forward to face league's second-placed Aci Koleji in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
