Regular Season Round 10: Triglav - Celje 57-70

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kranj. Top-ranked Celje faced their biggest opponent Triglav. Guests from Celje (10-0) defeated host Triglav (8-2) 70-57. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Triglav. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Celje's pressure prevailed and they won that period 20-14 extending their advantage to 13 points. Celje outrebounded Triglav 42-20 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Zala Friskovec (179-99) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 rebounds. International Marusa Senicar (187-97) contributed with 9 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Rebeka Abramovic (172-93) replied with 15 points and 7 assists and Montenegrin center Teodora Saric (190-98) added 9 points in the effort for Triglav. Celje have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 10-0 record. Triglav at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Celje will play against Jezica (#4) in Ljubljana in the next round. Triglav will play on the road against Domzale and hopes to get back on the winning track.
