Regular Season Round 8: Krka - Rogaska 81-60

The game in Novo Mesto supposed to be also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Rogaska (4-4) played at the court of sixth ranked Krka (4-2). Krka smashed Rogaska 81-60 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 21 points. Krka outrebounded Rogaska 42-24 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by Croatian guard Paolo Marinelli (191-95) who scored that evening 25 points and 5 assists and Croatian center Jure Lalic (211-86) supported him with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Even 16 points and 4 assists by international guard Miha Vasl (192-92) did not help to save the game for Rogaska. American point guard Rashun Davis (182-93, college: Radford) added 12 points for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Krka moved-up to third place. Rogaska lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Krka will meet Zlatorog (#6) in the next round. Rogaska will play against Hopsi Polzela and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
