Very predictable result when leader Duesseldorf (11-0) rolled over on the road 12th ranked Salzkotten (3-9) 99-59 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for Lithuanian forward Dainius Zvinklys (203-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. American-Dutch swingman Jamal Smith (197-92, college: Chattanooga St) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Duesseldorf had such big advantage that coach Jonas Joenke felt comfortable to give the chance to play for 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Matthias Finke (190-87) answered with 18 points and swingman Felix Wenningkamp (195-88) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Salzkotten. Five Duesseldorf and four Salzkotten players scored in double figures. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Duesseldorf. They maintain first place in West with 11-0 record. Salzkotten lost their third game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. Duesseldorf will face Kamp-Lintfort (#14) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Salzkotten will play against Deutzer and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
