We should mention about the upset which took place in Karlsruhe, where higher ranked Walter Tigers (6-7) lost to fourteenth ranked Lions (5-8) in a road game 71-89 on Saturday. American forward Orlando Parker (203-91, college: Wagner) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. His fellow American import guard Davonte Lacy (193-93, college: Washington St.) chipped in 11 points and 7 assists. Lions' coach Ivan Rudez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Reed Timmer (185-95, college: Drake) produced 24 points and center Enosch Wolf (215-90, college: Connecticut) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Lions. They moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Uni Baskets and Art.Dragons. Loser Walter Tigers dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Lions will face Uni Baskets (#12) in Paderborn in the next round.
