The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Neustadt TSV's (6-7) home loss to ninth ranked Bergedorf (6-7) 92-95 on Saturday. Bergedorf outrebounded Neustadt TSV 37-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Quite impressive performance for guard Steffen Kiese (190-87) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Center Yngve Jentz (207-97) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. British guard Rishi Kakad (188-87, college: Hawaii Pacific) answered with 26 points and 4 assists and Mubarak Salami (197-96) added 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Neustadt TSV. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Bergedorf moved-up to eighth place in North, which they share with Wusterhausen and Neustadt TSV. Bergedorf will face league's second-placed RSV Eintracht in Stahnsdorf in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
