No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Westerstede (7-7) beat on the road 12th ranked Vechta-2 (5-7) 84-76 on Saturday. Vechta-2 was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for Marcello Schroeder (195-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Franjo Borchers (190-93) contributed with 28 points and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Kaimyn Pruitt (203-90, college: Adams St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Malte Stenzel (182-98) added 22 points in the effort for Vechta-2. Four Vechta-2 players scored in double figures. Westerstede maintains seventh place in North with 7-7 record. Loser Vechta-2 dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. Westerstede will have a break next round. Vechta-2 will play on the road against Goetting.ASC (#3) in Goettingen and hope to win that game.
