Regular Season Round 9: Plama Pur - Hrastnik 89-76

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Hrastnik (4-4) lost to ninth ranked Plama Pur (3-4) in Ilirska Bistrica 76-89 on Saturday. The game without a history. Plama Pur led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Plama Pur outrebounded Hrastnik 46-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for point guard Grega Sajevic (189-96) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Anze Srebovt (196-91) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Gasper Ovnik (190-82) answered with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Klemen Pozin (180-95) added 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Hrastnik. Four Plama Pur and five Hrastnik players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Plama Pur moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Medvode. Newly promoted Hrastnik dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Plama Pur will face higher ranked Triglav (#4) in Kranj in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hrastnik will play at home against LTH Castings and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
