Regular Season Round 10: Randers - Bakken 107-103

The most surprising game was the first loss of Bakken (10-1) on the court of fifth ranked Randers on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Randers 107-103. Bakken trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 24-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 103-107 at the end of the game. Randers made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Randers outrebounded Bakken 46-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Point guard Devon Thomas (183-94, college: Texas Tech) scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Dee Franklin (196, college: Ft.Valley St.) chipped in 24 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Franklin is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side guard Tobin Carberry (193-91, college: LIU Post, agency: HMS) responded with 21 points and 6 assists and forward Ryan Evans (202-90, college: Wisconsin) scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Randers and five Bakken players scored in double figures. Bakken's coach Steffen Wich rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Randers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 5-5 record. Defending champion Bakken still keeps top place with one game lost. Randers are looking forward to face league's second-placed BMS Skovlunde on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bakken will play against Vaerlose and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
