Regular Season Round 12: Coburg - Rhoendorf 88-68

Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Coburg (5-7) outscored at home 11th ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (3-9) 88-68 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was French guard Kevin Franceschi (191-93, college: Oklah.Baptist) who scored 39 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. American point guard Chase Adams (177-88, college: Pittsburgh) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Coburg players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian center Zygimantas Riauka (205-93, college: Wisc.-Parkside) who recorded 16 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Kwan Waller (183-89, college: Ky Wesleyan) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Coburg moved-up to eighth place in South, which they share with Wuerzburg and Giessen 46ers II. Loser Dragons Rhoendorf keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Coburg will face higher ranked Elchingen (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Dragons Rhoendorf will play against the league's second-placed BV Villingen-Schwenningen (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
