There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Itzehoe (5-7) was edged on the road by eleventh ranked Oldenburg (5-7) 73-72 on Saturday. Oldenburg made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was point guard Jacob Hollatz (191-98) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Bosnian point guard Robert Drijencic (194-96) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. Four Oldenburg players scored in double figures. Oldenburg's coach Artur Gacaev used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Kevin Mickle (201-92, college: Ohio) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds and Johannes Konradt (199-95) added 12 points respectively.
