Regular Season Round 13: Herzogenaurach - Oberhaching 57-67

Very expected game when 6th ranked Herzogenaurach (6-6) lost at home to second ranked Oberhaching (11-1) 67-57 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for Serbian guard Ognjen Zoric (188-90, college: Bridgeport) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. Point guard Janosch Koegler (190-93) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Oberhaching's coach Mario Matic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Forward Patrick Horstmann (201-87, college: Keiser) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and point guard Robert Merz (193-0) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Herzogenaurach. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Oberhaching. They keep a position of South-East leader, which they share with Leitershofen. Loser Herzogenaurach keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Oberhaching will face TSV Troester (#3) in Breitenguessbach in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Herzogenaurach will play on the road against Rosenheim and hope to win that game.
