Regular Season Round 6: Rivne - Interkhim 61-68

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Interkhim (5-5) beat on the road 4th ranked BK Rivne (6-6) 68-61 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 14 points after three quarters before their 32-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Interkhim looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. BK Rivne was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Diana Bondaryuk (197-85) who led her team to a victory with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Zhanna Lykhodid (177-80) contributed with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Guard Viktoriya Shmatova (170-87) replied with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Larysa Stadnik (185-92) added 18 points in the effort for BK Rivne. BK Rivne's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Interkhim maintains sixth position with 5-5 record. Loser BK Rivne keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Interkhim will face league's leader Dynamo-NPU in Kyiv in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. BK Rivne will play on the road against SBK Lviv and hope to win that game.
