The game in Bonn supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked EWE Baskets (7-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Telekom Baskets (5-5). EWE Baskets did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 98-78 on Sunday. EWE Baskets dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Telekom Baskets' 26. American swingman Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri) scored 32 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Austrian-Slovenian center Rasid Mahalbasic (210-90, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 25 points (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Josh Mayo (181-87, college: Ill.-Chicago, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with 25 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Montenegrin forward Bojan Subotic (203-90) scored 12 points. Telekom Baskets' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. EWE Baskets have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Brose Bask. Telekom Baskets lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with five games lost. EWE Baskets will meet at home BG Goettingen (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Telekom Baskets will play against Brose Baskets (#3) in Bamberg and hope to secure a win.
