Important game to mention about took place in Hatay. Second ranked Hatay (7-1) saved a 3-point derby victory at home edging 8th ranked Ormanspor (4-4) 73-70 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ormanspor. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Courtney Paris (191-87, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Montenegrin-American forward Glory Johnson (191-90, college: Tennessee, agency: ProDep Management) who added 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Hatay players scored in double figures. American forward Kahleah Copper (185-94, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) responded with 21 points and her fellow American import center Aneika Henry-Morello (193-86, college: Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Hatay maintains second position with 7-1 record having just four point less than leader Adana Basket. Ormanspor at the other side dropped to the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with Canik Belediye and Izmit. Hatay will play against league's leader Adana Basket on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ormanspor will play against the league's leader Mersin BSB (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
