Regular Season Round 10: Deutsch-Wagram - Rocks 57-85

Leader Rocks delivered the eighth victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Deutsch-Wagram (0-10) 85-57. The game without a history. Rocks led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 21 Deutsch-Wagram turnovers and outrebounded them 41-30 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Gary Ware (205-83, college: Purdue, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). German forward Maximilian Huebner (196-91) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Lukas Hofer (180-92) replied with 16 points and Elias Wlasak (190-0) added 13 points in the effort for Deutsch-Wagram. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rocks have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-2 record, which they share with Raiders. Newly promoted Deutsch-Wagram still closes the standings with ten games lost. Rocks will play against UBC St. Polten (#3) in St.Polten in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Deutsch-Wagram will play on the road against Nord Dragonz (#11) in Eisenstadt and hopes to get finally their first victory.
