Regular Season Round 9: Eagles BA - Young Dragons 80-98

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Young Dragons (5-3) beat 7th ranked Eagles BA (2-5) in Itzehoe 98-80 on Sunday. Young Dragons forced 22 Eagles BA turnovers and outrebounded them 43-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for Radii Caisin (195-1) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 steals. Samuel Schmedes (198-0) contributed with 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Young Dragons players scored in double figures. Point guard Tim Lang (190-0) answered with 27 points and 4 assists and Scotty Liedtke (198-0) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Eagles BA. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Young Dragons moved-up to third place in Group 1. Loser Eagles BA dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Young Dragons will have a break next round. Eagles BA will play again on the road against Young Dragons (#3) in Quakenbrueck and hope to win that game.
