Very predictable result when leader Banvit (9-0) smashed at home 8th ranked Bahcehir (3-8) 78-49 on Sunday. Banvit dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Bahcehir's 30. Banvit forced 25 Bahcehir turnovers and outrebounded them 52-35 including a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Banvit made 10 blocks. It was a great evening for center Furkan Haltali (207-2) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Power forward Alperen Sengun (205-2) helped adding 17 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks. Bartu Yilmaz (-1) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Berke Akcam (-0) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Banvit. They maintain second place with 9-0 record behind leader Pinar Karsiyaka. Bahcehir lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Banvit will face league's leader Pinar Karsiyaka in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bahcehir will play against Gaziantep (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
