There was an upset when higher ranked Stuttgart (5-7) lost on the road to eleventh ranked Mannheim (4-8) 78-70 on Sunday. Mannheim looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Quite impressive performance for swingman Alexander Kuhn (198-92) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 assists. Guard Benjamin Kaufhold (185-89) contributed with 14 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Mannheim players scored in double figures. Mannheim's coach Peter Eberhardt used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American power forward Nick Mosley (203-88, college: Tarleton St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and Montenegrin Milos Mandic (195-97) added 14 points in the effort for Stuttgart. Mannheim moved-up to ninth place in South-West, which they share with 4 other teams. Stuttgart lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Mannheim will face higher ranked Saarlouis/Dillingen (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
