Regular Season Round 10: Sostines - Siauliu 65-110

Bottom-ranked Sostines is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their tenth consecutive match to fourth ranked Siauliu (7-3) 110-65. The game without a history. Siauliu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Sostines' 40. They outrebounded Sostines 57-25 including a 41-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Siauliu players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Forward Lorenas Stoskevicius (-1) had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Deividas Visockis (-1) chipped in 26 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five Siauliu players scored in double figures. At the losing side Julius Vaitkus (-2) responded with 14 points and 8 assists and Titas Vaitekunas (-2) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Sostines' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Siauliu maintains fourth position with 7-3 record. Sostines at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Siauliu will play against league's leader Vilniaus Silputa at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Sostines will play against Jonavos (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
