The game between Top Four teams took place in Bayreuth. Second-ranked host Heroes (6-2) were smashed by top-ranked Junior Loewen (8-0) 96-62. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Heroes. Junior Loewen dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Heroes' 26 and made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Junior Loewen forced 22 Heroes turnovers and outrebounded them 46-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Moritz Plescher (195-0) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Estonian Henri Drell (205-0) contributed with 21 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Five Junior Loewen players scored in double figures. Point guard Jevon Perschnick (182-0) replied with 8 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Nico Wenzl (176-1) added 13 points in the effort for Heroes. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Junior Loewen have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group 3 with 8-0 record. Heroes at the other side keep the second place with two games lost. Junior Loewen's next round opponent will be Junior Loewen (#8) in Braunschweig and are hoping to win another game. Heroes will play on the road against Sixers (#4) in Weissenfels and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
