Regular Season Round 21: Telsiai - Delikatesas 90-88

The most exciting game of round 21 in the NKL took place in Telsiu. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Delikatesas (12-7) to eighth ranked Telsiai (10-8) 90-88 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Delikatesas. Telsiai made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Delikatesas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for forward Ovidijus Kaminskis (195-91) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 4 assists. Point guard Ignas Razutis (185-87) contributed with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. International power forward Sarunas Beniusis (206-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Belarusian forward Tsimafei Paraliou (200-97) added 17 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) in the effort for Delikatesas. Four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Telsiai moved-up to seventh place. Delikatesas at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Vytis. Telsiai are looking forward to face Ezerunas (#12) in Moletai in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Delikatesas will play at home against the league's second-placed Palanga (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
