Very important is a road loss of third ranked Gladiators (8-6) against sixteenth ranked White Wings (3-11) on Friday night. Visiting Gladiators were defeated by White Wings in Hanau 81-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gladiators. White Wings made 29-of-35 free shots (82.9 percent) during the game, while Gladiators only scored twelve points from the stripe. White Wings forced 20 Gladiators turnovers and outrebounded them 35-23 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Alexander Angerer (203-96) notched 16 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Till-Joscha Joenke (193-92) supported him with 14 points and 4 assists. Four White Wings players scored in double figures. Even 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Jamaican-Canadian forward Jermaine Bucknor (201-83, college: Richmond) did not help to save the game for Gladiators. Power forward Johannes Joos (206-95) added 15 points for the guests. Gladiators' coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. White Wings maintains sixteenth position with 3-11 record. Loser Gladiators keep the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Heidelberg.
