Very important is a road loss of second ranked Arkadia Lions (8-3) against fifth ranked Gunners Oberwart (8-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Arkadia Lions were defeated by Gunners Oberwart in Oberwart 78-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Arkadia Lions. The game was mostly controlled by Gunners Oberwart. Arkadia Lions was better in third quarter 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American guard Hayden Lescault (196-92, college: Point Loma) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Jakob Szkutta (188-99) helped adding 12 points and 5 assists. Four Gunners Oberwart players scored in double figures. International center Jozo Rados (208-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and the former international point guard Benedikt Danek (176-86) scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. Gunners Oberwart have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Arkadia Lions at the other side keep the second position with three games lost. Gunners Oberwart will play against Hallmann (#7) in Vienna in the next round. Arkadia Lions will play on the road against Dukes (#4) in Klosterneuburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
