Bottom-ranked Furstenfeld Panthers is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 12th consecutive match to second ranked Gmunden Swans (9-2) 87-74 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-74. Gmunden Swans outrebounded Furstenfeld Panthers 40-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Devin White (203-88, college: SUNO) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 blocks (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). International forward Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 21 points for the winning side. Croatian Marko Car (188-85) came up with 22 points and 9 assists and Croatian Mario Spaleta (209-95) added 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for Furstenfeld Panthers in the defeat. Five Gmunden Swans and four Furstenfeld Panthers players scored in double figures. Furstenfeld Panthers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gmunden Swans keep a position of league leader. Loser Furstenfeld Panthers still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Gmunden Swans will meet at home Kapfenberg Bulls (#5) in the next round. Furstenfeld Panthers will play against Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (#9) and hope to get finally their first victory.
