Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked ETB Wohnbau (2-11) lost to sixth ranked SG Schwelmer Baskets (7-6) in Essen 67-74 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for point guard Niklas Geske (188-94) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Erik Durham (193-94, college: Jacksonville St.) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four SG Schwelmer Baskets players scored in double figures. SG Schwelmer Baskets' coach Falk Moeller allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Andre Calvin (201-85, college: Drake) answered with 11 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and guard Jeffrey Martin (190-94) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for ETB Wohnbau. SG Schwelmer Baskets moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with BSW Sixers. ETB Wohnbau lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 11 games lost. SG Schwelmer Baskets will face higher ranked Iserlohn (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
