We should mention about the upset which took place in Istanbul, where higher ranked Besiktas (6-5) was outleveled in a road game by ninth ranked Acibadem (5-6) 83-57 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Besiktas. Acibadem shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Spanish point guard Joaquin Colom (188-88, college: Forca Lleida, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 assists. American power forward DJ White (206-86, college: Indiana) helped adding 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Acibadem players scored in double figures. American point guard Phil Pressey (180-91, college: Missouri) responded with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian power forward Ivan Buva (208-91) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Acibadem moved-up to eighth place. Loser Besiktas dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Acibadem's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul .
