There was an upset when 4th placed Elchingen (7-6) lost at home to ninth ranked Coburg (6-7) 83-78 on Saturday. Coburg made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Chase Adams (177-88, college: Pittsburgh) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Christopher Wolf (199-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Coburg players scored in double figures. Croatian forward Jere Vucica (206-92, college: Miami, OH, agency: Court Side) answered with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and center Kristian Kuhn (208-87, college: N.Arizona) added 17 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Elchingen. Elchingen's coach Pero Vucica tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Coburg moved-up to seventh place in South, which they share with OrangeAcademy and Giessen 46ers II. Loser Elchingen keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Coburg will face Wuerzburg (#10) at home in the next round. Elchingen will play against the league's second-placed BV Villingen-Schwenningen (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
