The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Topstar (11-2) in Diedorf on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by ninth ranked Ansbach (7-6) 105-92. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Topstar. Ansbach shot 61.9 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 63.2 percentage. American forward Steven Ward (200-87, college: Three Rivers CC) scored 28 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Walter Simon (202-89, college: Cumberland) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. American point guard CJ Carr (173-95, college: Missouri So.) responded with 37 points (!!!) and 4 assists and naturalized American forward Dominik Veney (198-87) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Ansbach and four Topstar players scored in double figures. Ansbach moved-up to fifth place in South-East, which they share with 3 other teams. Topstar at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with Oberhaching. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
