Very predictable result when second ranked Dorsten (10-3) smashed on the road 9th ranked Dortmund (4-9) 85-66 on Saturday. Dorsten dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Dortmund's 34. They outrebounded Dortmund 43-23 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dorsten looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Mike Nwabuzor (188, college: N.Mexico Highlands) had a triple-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Bulgarian swingman Lyuben Paskov (196-90) chipped in 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Nwabuzor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Dorsten players scored in double figures. American guard Aaron Bowser (190-84, college: Ariz.Christian) responded with 20 points and point guard Felix Fuhrmann (175-90) scored 7 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Dorsten have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position in West with 10-3 record having just three points less than leader Wolmirstedt. Newly promoted Dortmund dropped to the tenth place with nine games lost. Dorsten will face Hagen BG (#5) at home in the next round. Dortmund will play against Herford (#6) and hope to win that game.
