Regular Season Round 13: Muenster - Bernau 85-81

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Muenster (8-5) won against at home 7th ranked SSV Lok Bernau (6-7) 85-81 on Saturday. Muenster looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for American guard Jojo Cooper (183-95, college: Wagner) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 7 rebounds and 15 assists. American-British center Malcolm Delpeche (204-95, college: Bates) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Delpeche is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Five Muenster players scored in double figures. Muenster's coach Phillip Kappenstein allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Point guard Bennet Hundt (178-98, college: High School) answered with 25 points and guard Robert Kulawick (192-86) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for SSV Lok Bernau. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Muenster. They moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Iserlohn and Bochum. Loser SSV Lok Bernau keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Muenster will face league's leader SC Rist Wedel on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SSV Lok Bernau will play against Oldenburg (#10) and hope to win that game.
