Top ranked Craiova (8-2) recorded its second loss on the court of third ranked Sibiu on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Sibiu 107-82. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Craiova. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Sibiu. Craiova managed to win second period 27-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Craiova 33-18 including 22 on the defensive glass. Sibiu looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Craiova helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Sibiu's coach Dan Fleseriu felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegrin Goran Gajovic (199-88, agency: 011 Sports) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Morris Curry (181-87, college: Providence) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Sibiu (7-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with Medias. Craiova at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Sibiu is looking forward to face Timisoara (#5) on the road in the next round. Craiova will play against Oradea (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
