Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Recklinghausen (7-6) was rolled over at home by third ranked Herford (9-4) 96-71 on Saturday. Herford outrebounded Recklinghausen 39-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. British forward Elliott Sentance (193-94, college: Lethbridge) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian forward Vaidotas Volkus (203-85, college: Redlands CC) chipped in 21 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Herford players scored in double figures. Herford's coach Christos Diktapanidis felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Chris Longoria (193-92, college: Valdosta St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 assists and 4 steals and guard Christoph Bruns (180-87) scored 7 points and 4 assists. Herford maintains third position in West with 9-4 record having four points less than leader Wolmirstedt, which they share with 3 other teams.
