Regular Season Round 11: Domzale - Triglav 34-77

Bottom-ranked Domzale (0-11) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to second ranked Triglav (9-2) 77-34. The game without a history. Triglav led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Domzale to just 2 points in first quarter and to 10 points in first half. Triglav held Domzale to an opponent 18.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 43.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Triglav forced 19 Domzale turnovers and outrebounded them 57-27 including a 42-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Gala Kramzar (163-99) who led the winners and scored 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Center Lara Bubnic (173-99) accounted for 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Four Triglav players scored in double figures. Forward Vanja Tajher (178-95) came up with 15 points and center Ula Dremel (182-94) added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Domzale in the defeat. Domzale's coach Mladen Rajic gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Triglav. They maintain second place with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Celje. Domzale lost their tenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 11 games lost. Triglav will play against Jezica (#4) in Ljubljana in the next round. Domzale will play on the road against Grosbasket (#7) in Grosuplje and hopes to get finally their first victory.
