Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Ludwigsburg (2-7) lost at home to second ranked Don Bosco Bamberg (8-1) 72-63 on Sunday. Don Bosco Bamberg had a 22-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard DaJonee Hale (173-94, college: Cent.Methodist) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. Serbian swingman Ivana Grbic (182-91, college: Eckerd) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. Hale is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Don Bosco Bamberg players scored in double figures. Jelena Bozic (177-99) answered with 15 points and Canadian center Alexandra Berry (186) added 14 points in the effort for Ludwigsburg. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Don Bosco Bamberg. They maintain second place in South with 8-1 record having 2 victories less than leader Osnabrueck SC. Ludwigsburg lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Don Bosco Bamberg will face Schwabach (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ludwigsburg will play against the league's leader BasCats Heidelberg and hope to win that game.
